Am I an luddite old fart for not respecting the intrinsic value of blogging?

Who cares what I, an affable fanboy, has to say?

My message for posterity is my kids.

I know enough not to make an ass of myself by publicly drooling over actresses and raging against the entertainment I consume. Most importantly, I why would I want to go to all the trouble trying to promote myself into something I’m not. Who would I be trying to convince? Mostly myself?

I would like to believe I have better things to do, even when I don’t.

I know I keep on saying that I was finished editing. But now it’s true. I finished the music video and the credit montage. I’m now out of scenes to cut. All that’s left is sweetening, segueing, and audio mix.

It’s October. I have to be finished by Halloween or go insane.

The good thing is that audiences have been recieving it well. Barring the missing work, they approve.

Post is winding down

I’m out of footage. I finished editing all the scenes. The final rough (is that a contradiction in terms?) runs 94:30. Not bad. Now I’m off to smooth out the rough spots, design segue devices, finalize color, and export the individual audio tracks for mixing… Once audio and graphics are done it’s just a simple matter of assembling it back together again (yeah, right! It’s like installing a motor to a car while adding an extra room to your house!)

Oh, and I still have two scenes to finish: the opening montage under credits and the closing music video (Not to mention closing credits crawl.)

I think I can still make the end of the month.

Back Page Progress

Post is progressing. The rough cut will be finished in two days, just in time to submit to Sundance.

I think it’s going to run seventy-nine minutes.

The rough cut will be short eight scenes, three of which I will probably be excising entirely.

Final run time should be around ninety-five minutes.

Next week, after I finish editing the last stragglers, I’ll get my audio and graphics guys involved.

I expect their contribution to be completed by the second week in September. By then, I would have finished final color and editing sweetening, as well as some more music and credits. I’ll have the finished products by the end of September.

Big premiere planned. Keg, sandwiches, the works.

Yes, googling yourself can be a nasty habit. Franky, I’m growing impatient with google. I haven’t marched up the list fast enough! For the past five months, I can’t believe that the astronomer, the mia, and the contractor have more web presence than I do! WTF?! I’m number one on LiveSearch!
